Genesis of Sketch Club

colinfergusSketch Club began life as a glossy fringe cabaret show in 2002, hosted by TV actor and scriptwriter Andrew Barclay. In 2003, the show was taken over by writer/performers Georgina Sowerby & Brian Luff and the format changed into a sketch and character comedy showcase for new writers and performers. In its new incarnation, Sketch Club ran until 2007, during which time many of the gig’s regular acts made the transition from small fringe stage to network television, including award-winning double act Colin & Fergus (pictured).
