THE HEATS 2015

The 3 heats for last year’s Best New Sketch Act took place in London on Friday 5 June, Friday 12 June and Friday 10 July. Venue: Downstairs at the Kings Head. Two acts from each heat qualified for the final. Here are the line-ups from the heats.

Heat 1 (Friday 5 June 2015):
Kitten Killers, The United Colours of Comedy, Marshall & Hart, Croft & Pearce, Steve Palace. Qualifyers: Marshall & Hart, Croft & Pearce. Runners-Up: Kitten Killers.

Heat 2 (Friday 12 June 2015):
Minor Delays, Laughing Stock, Loren O’Brien, Legion of Doom, Omar & Amir, Mid-Brow. Compere: Brian Luff. Judges: Penelope Solomon, (Critic, BBC Radio London) Tom Barrie (Comedy Promoter Boom Tish, Artistic Director, The Art House), Rosie Wilby (Comedian). Qualifiers: Laughing Stock & Mid-Brow. Runners-Up: Minor Delays.

Heat 3 (Friday 10 July 2015):
Shelf, Chinfinger, Shirley & Shirley, Flip & Maggie: Women of an Uncertain Age, Guilt & Shame, Best Boy. Compere: Brian Luff. Judges: Penelope Solomon, (Critic, BBC Radio London), Alex Rochford (Comedy Agent, booker at Comedy Store, Assembly and Brighton Comedy Festival, Ivor Baddiel (Comedy writer/Script Associate ITV). Qualifiers: Shirley & Shirley, Best Boy. Runners-Up: Shelf.
